The European Innovation Council Board has broadly welcomed the Council’s Partial General Approach for Horizon Europe 2028–2034 and the proposed European Competitiveness Fund, but says important implementation details still need clarification.
The Board warns that poorly resolved elements could dilute the future impact and distinct role of the EIC. It will now follow the development of the European Parliament’s position. This is a policy signal about the next EU programming period, not an open funding call.
